A CELEBRATION OF THE GROWING PRESENCE AND BLOSSOMING CULTURAL INFLUENCE OF
EASTERN & CENTRAL EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES IN THE UK
PULSE FESTIVAL returns in 2009 for the 5th annual instalment of musical multi-culturalism, visiting more cities and playing to more audiences than ever before. A celebration of the growing presence and blossoming cultural influence of Eastern and Central European communities in the UK, Pulse will once again feature a high-quality and wildly eclectic mix of talent from countries likePoland, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Czech Republic . For the first time in 2009 UK acts with their roots in Central and Eastern European music will feature throughout the festival. Across the numerous stages, dozens of artists, both established and emerging, will cover a wide spectrum of musical genres including Jazz, Alternative, Dance, new-wave and Classical, giving audiences old and new a fantastic opportunity to become introduced and immersed in the diverse and unique music from Eastern and Central Europe.
